This is the second fully tilt rotor eVTOL engineering prototype in the world after Joby JAS4-1, and also the first fully tilt rotor eVTOL engineering prototype to be produced in China. This offline event marks that our fully tilt rotor technology has reached the international advanced level, filling the gap in eVTOL technology for fully tilt rotors in China.

A true fully tilt rotor eVTOL


The fully tilt rotor scheme adopted by the Honghu MARK 1 is recognized by the eVTOL industry as having the highest threshold, the most complex technology, and the best application effect. During the flight, all rotors provide both lift and cruise thrust. The power unit is reusable, with a high load to weight ratio and cost-effectiveness. It can achieve faster flight speed, lower noise, longer range, higher safety, and lower cost. It has better operational advantages in future urban passenger transportation, cargo transportation, air rescue and other scenarios. Prior to this, only the American company Joby, founded in 2009, had achieved product breakthroughs in this technology field globally, and domestic product achievements in this technology route have been in a blank state.



Creating the 'Chinese speed' of eVTOL technology research and development


As an eVTOL R&D enterprise incubated by the "cradle of chief engineers" of Northwestern Polytechnical University, Huayu Xianxiang was officially established in August 2023. Relying on the years of cutting-edge exploration in new aircraft by the University of Western Industry and the research accumulation of several State Key Laboratory, we made every effort to promote the R&D and manufacturing of full tilt rotor eVTOL Honghu MARK1, and mastered a large number of core key technologies in the fields of high-performance low-noise propeller technology, airworthiness triple redundancy flight control system, and many of them reached the top level in China. Within one year of its establishment, we quickly completed three rounds of financing totaling over 100 million yuan, and jointly laid out the low altitude industry with Hunan Province. Within more than 10 months after completing the first round of financing, we completed the final assembly and production of the first domestically developed fully tilt rotor eVTOL engineering prototype, creating a "Chinese speed" in eVTOL technology research and development.

At present, we are steadily advancing the airworthiness certification work of Honghu MARK 1, accelerating the progress of leading technological achievements towards industrial application.

In 2024, the low altitude economy will be included in the government work report for the first time, and various policies and measures to support the development of the low altitude economy will be introduced one after another. The low altitude economy industry is taking off at an unprecedented speed. Although our establishment time is short, we are accelerating the progress of product technology and achieving milestone after milestone in a shorter period of time. In the future, we will focus on the goal of high-quality development in the industry, lay out our technological roadmap with a long-term mindset, and put forward higher self requirements for technology research and development under the "chief engineer culture" of Xi'an Jiaotong University. We are committed to the research and development of efficient urban air transportation vehicles, promoting the development of three-dimensional transportation, and making aviation technology serve thousands of households.
